This is a live drawing of my left hand. I named it “My Left Hand”. Originally I intended to draw it with my left hand which kind of didn´t work because I wasn´t able to look at my left hand and perform the drawing at the same time. So I had to use my right hand. I used a Castel Pencil 9000 2H for it. I have to admit that I did some minor touch ups in Photoshop. I added a shadow to the hand to give it a more 3D-ish feeling. When I tried to apply the shadow next to the arm I didn't know how to do this because of the hair (Any comments?). I am quite happy with the result though. The clock represents our bodies' transitoriness. Life is not forever. We all know this but we never think of it. I got the inspiration for the drawing while listening to the soundtrack of “Letters from Iwo Jima” from Clint Eastwood (Track No 8, “Nearing the End”).
